Marazion & St Michael's Mount, Penzance

This Chair is in storage or undergoing maintenance

Our beach chair at Marazion means the wheelchair user is able to access the vast sandy shoreline of Mounts Bay.

The town of Marazion nestles around the bay and spectacular views of St Michael’s Mount can be seen clearly from the shore. In the town there are local shops including post office facilities, a bakery, pubs, hotels and toilets.

There are large car parks nearby but be advised that none of them are free to park and in the summer season can become full quickly so planning ahead is essential. The car park has disabled access, with easy level across from the main car park and a ramp down to the beach from the western car park.

If you are paying a visit to St Michaels Mount, be aware of the cobble terrain, they have their own Tramper, all terrain mobility scooter which they provide a tramper route map for around the island. Enquire at the Changehouse on the island as they are supplied at a first come, first served basis.

Ramps are available on request at the entrances to the shops on the island and there is an accessible toilet located next to the island cafe.

There is a seasonal dog ban from July 1st to August 31st during the hours of 10am to 6pm, it is dog friendly outside of these hours.
