Gyllyngvase, Falmouth

This Chair is in storage or undergoing maintenance

Gyllyngvase is a family-friendly beach, a small walk from the Falmouth town centre. Its bathing waters are safe and there are sheltered areas to sit and enjoy the view of Pendennis castle and the surrounding area.

Parking is available nearby, but can be difficult at peak times. Behind the beach is a pay and display car park on Queen Mary Road and roadside parking is also available on Cliff Road. Between the months November to March, parking is free.

Gylly Beach Cafe is located right on the beach which serves food and drink with amazing views of the scenery. Opposite the cafe they provide their own takeaway service.

There are unisex public toilets on the beach that are open from 9am until 5pm.

The slope to the beach is considerable although there is less of an incline if the beach is accessed via the gardens on the seafront.

The beach is dog friendly but there is a seasonal dog ban from May 15th to September 30th, between the hours of 10am to 6pm.
