Portreath Beach
This Chair is in storage or undergoing maintenance
Portreath Beach is a popular sandy cove with tall cliffs and soft sand. Popular with families, surfers and bodyboarders.
The beach backs onto the small town that offers facilities which include shops, cafes, scenery walks and toilets.
On the right hand side of the beach there is a tidal pool that is sheltered by the harbour wall. Then on the left hand side of the beach there is a small stream that runs down to the sea from off the coast.
There is disabled access to the beach via a ramp at the harbour end of the car park and disabled parking at the beach front.
There is a Surf Life Saving Club right on the beach, they operate their own beach wheelchair which is available for members of the public to hire. They have a new lift within the club house and a large training / reception room on the first floor that is available for weddings, parties and events.
There is a seasonal dog ban from July 1st to August 31st between the hours of 10am till 6pm, it is dog friendly outside of these hours.
